This condo doesn't disappoint! The views truly could be on a postcard. The property and staff are friendly and attentive. The restaurant has great food for breakfast, pool side lunch and outside dining for dinner. The owners of the condo are very responsive and offered wonderful tips on things to do and places to eat in the area. The attention to detail shows in every corner of their home. We enjoyed watching whales breach, fireworks most evenings, the sound of the ocean from the balcony and the most gorgeous sunrises and sunsets.

We had another place booked in Cabo by the arch that fell thru at the last minute.I was so upset! We booked this place sort of last minute. When I say that this was the best thing that ever happened I mean it. David and Fiona’s condo is PERFECT!!! The view is insane, the condo itself has literally anything you could need. Staff are super nice, you can order room service from the hotel restaurant!!! They have a wagon thing to bring groceries in and an elevator so you don’t have to schlep up the stairs with all your crap. Great water pressure in showers, comfortable beds, Apple TV, beautifully decorated!!The beach is literally deserted, the location is perfect away from the busy crowd but within a very short drive to any restaurant or activity you may want. The grounds around the property are immaculate. Don’t waste your money on a hotel or other overpriced BS. This is the real deal. And not for nothing, I am super picky!!!

Great Cabo Vacation

We enjoyed every minute of our time in Cabo. This condo is in the perfect location with an amazing view and was beautifully furnished and equipped with everything we needed. Fiona and Dave responded to us right away if we had a question or needed a recommendation....a fantastic place to stay! Some of our favorites ....the sunset cruise on the Risscat, great crew and service, open bar and delicious food we went to the famous rocks and saw whales and sea lions on the way, enjoyed a horseback ride on the beach, fun art walk in San Jose, Flora Farms, we enjoyed many restaurants especially Edith's, Sunset Mona Lisa (amazing views), the Office, Jasmine etc. Thank you Fiona and Dave for sharing your home with us.

Everything We Hoped and Dreamed!

We stayed 2 weeks (Xmas - New Year's) and loved this condo! The views are amazing! The deck is comfy and we spent many hours there watching whales and mobula rays (they jump out of the water and belly flop down with a loud splash), and the amazing sunsets. Apartment is well furnsihed and comfortable. My wife and I in the master and and our 2 sons (ages 18 and 23) shared the other room. Kitchen is well equipped, we made dinner a few nights and it was easy. Staff at the resort were all helpful and accomodating. Being near the pool (and pool bar) can be a little noise (though they close pretty early so not a problem at night). My wife and I walked across the arroyo to the condos on the western side where the pools were both heated and quiet. Best of both worlds as our boys loved the swim up bar and the music there (especially when they found they could logon to the wifi and control the bar playlist!). The grounds are stunningly well landscaped with many desert plants and we enjoyed taking walks around the grounds.
The location was great. we rented a car and could be in Cabo in 15 to 20 minutes and San Jose in 10. Our sons also used ubers without hassle or incident. Amazing grocery stores (Fresko) less than 5 minutes away with everything you could need (and many things you won't need but will certainly want in the fresh bakery section). Many great restaurants and activities. Our boys went scuba diving with Dive Cabo 3 times (at the recommendation of the condo owner) and had great experiences. My wife and I took a cooking class at Flora Farms and learned some new things and had a great time. Many excellent restaurants all up and down the region!
By the end of the trip my wife and I were pricing condos and considering how we might relocate!
Best of all are the owners themselves, Dave and Fiona. In addition to giving us many useful recommendations about activities and restaurants, more importantly, they are available to you in real time. When I had a problem with the safe they were on the phone within minutes and talked me through resolving my issue. There is something a little unnerving about renting someone else's place but Dave and Fiona make sure you have an excellent stay and back that up with their willingness to hold your hand when needed! If only all owners were like them!

Perfect in every way!

While the photos of this property are accurate, it's just not possible to capture how stunning the views are with photos. Everything about this property was exceptional! The living-room was perfect for evening lounging and taking in a movie, the kitchen had every single item one would need to cook a meal or make a nice cocktail, the outdoor living space was extremely relaxing in the early morning while sipping coffee or at sunset with a cold beverage in hand. The bedrooms were spacious, the beds super comfortable. All the linens were provided and were all very nice. We wanted for absolutely nothing! You know how you are usually ready to get back to your own bed after vacation?? Not us! We decided that the king bed provided was more comfortable than our own and we were definitely not ready to leave!
All the staff we encountered at Casa del Mar were extremely friendly and helpful. The food and beverages we ordered the day we relaxed at the pool were all very tasty.
The location of this property was perfect for our plans. We were close to San Jose, close enough to Cabo, very close to one of the most spectacular beaches we've ever visited. Don't miss Playa Santa Maria!
Hats off to the very friendly and helpful owners of this property. They have truly thought of everything. We were sad to leave. When we return to the area, we know exactly where we will stay! Thank you!

Casa del Mar is a gorgeous resort, and this condo might be one of the nicest in the whole complex. I rented for a wedding so I had the chance to see a few other condos and none had better furnishings and finishes. 301 Gaviota is also in the perfect location within the resort. You basically can not get closer to the pools and the restaurant in the hotel. Highly recommended!

Great for a Stay on the Beach

We rented Dave and Fiona's condo over the holiday. It was everything they said it was. All the amenities of home! Their beautiful kitchen was stocked with all the utinsels, dishes and misc. cooking supplies that you would ever need. The bedrooms and bathrooms were beautiful. The bedrooms had very comfortable bedding and mattresses and the bathrooms were stocked with awesome towels. The best part of the condo was the outdoor patio with a view of the ocean and the pool. The food at Casa del Mar was great and we ate many meals at the pool. We ziplined at Wild Canyon, ate lunch next door at Ventanas which was amazing. One of our favorite meals was at Flora Farms about 20 minutes away. We rented a car for the week and it was very east to get around. We really enjoyed our stay away from all the craziness of Cabo San Lucas. Dave and Fiona were great to work with. Their response time to all my emails was less than 30 minutes. We hope to be back! Thanks for the memories...
Amazing Stay in Cabo

Being a photographer I really pay attention to the photos. Many times you can be disappointed of the place. Not in this condo, here what you see on the pictures is what you get, it is a beautiful condo, where a lot of effort was put into making it a special retreat. It has everything you need for your holiday. The sea views are spectacular and the Casa del Mar the resort where the condo is located is simply beautiful. It is next to the famous Ventanas al Paraiso, when you are there and you realize the beach where you are staying is better than the Ventanas is priceless :-) Part of the Ventanas beach is rocky and you can hardly walk. I'm originally from Mexico and I was impressed by the food offered at the restaurant and by the pool. Some were Mexican dishes with traditional ingredients a twist. To sum up, you can't go wrong. This is a newly renovated condo what will make your stay unforgettable. Highly recommended!
Perfect place for a great vacation

What a spectacular find! Ditto to everything the last review stated. This ocean view condo on the tranquil beach in Baja has it all. Watch the sunset from the spacious balcony, relax in the infinity pool, have a drink at the swim-up bar or ride horses on the beach. We love the tasteful touches including romantic ambient lighting and usb charging ports. The owners have put thoughtful attention into each detail to make this a luxurious retreat, a home away from home with ocean wave lullabies. We even had the opportunity to usher some just-hatched baby sea turtles to the sea on this magical beach. This was the most relaxing vacation we've had in awhile. I would highly recommend this place for a romantic get-away, a family vacation or a writing retreat. Can't wait to come back!
Spectacular ocean view luxury condo

This was our first trip and we came for a friend’s wedding. We originally booked 2 rooms at Hilton Resort and for the same price we booked this open floor-plan condo with 2 balconies, a fully stocked kitchen, BBQ, dining room and spacious living room. We also saved money because we could prepare meals and snacks here. We knew we were in the right place when we entered the condo and you are greeted with the amazing Sea of Cortez view. The condo is just a few steps away from the hotel, pool, swim up bar, beach and beach restaurant. The condo interior is first class and new! The owners paid attention to every detail and were very thoughtful about what a guest might need, including usb ports and wifi. It’s the perfect location because it sits between Cabo San Lucas, to the south, and the posh San José del Cabo, to the north. The wedding was to the north, so we had a rental car and it was so easy to get around and even hop down to the south a few times. The kitchen has full size appliances and it is a chef’s dream with everything you need to prepare a wonderful meal and entertain your family and guests. The balcony has a sitting area with a full size L couch and another seating area for 4 where you can relax and enjoy the view, while enjoying your favorite beverage. The towels are plush and the beds and bedding are so comfortable. You can easily relax or fall asleep while listening to the ocean. We ate a few times at the beach restaurant, and you won’t want to miss it, where the meals are delicious and they do a wonderful Mexican/Japanese fusion of flavors with their sushi and fish. The beach is beautiful and great for walks with stunningly clear water. You can also see whales when they migrate up or down the coast. You will love being here because this condo will not disappoint and exceed your expectations. We are already thinking about when we can go back and stay at this beach paradise!
